Precision BioLogic is pleased to recognize the tenth anniversary of the Fritsma Factor—Your Interactive Hemostasis Resource, a free online educational service moderated by George Fritsma and proudly supported by Precision BioLogic.

In 2006, Fritsma—a lab scientist, educator and author—began looking for a means to share knowledge, information and insight about the world of hemostasis. In doing so, he sought the support of an organization that shared the same interests. Colleagues pointed him to Precision BioLogic and, in October 2007, the Fritsma Factor (www.fritsmafactor.com) was launched.

What started as a simple blog, is now a community of more than 12,000 physicians, laboratory scientists, researchers and students from around the globe. It now features more than 30 educational modules, a Q&A forum, a glossary of hemostasis-related abbreviations, links to industry resources and more.

“When we started Fritsma Factor, I assumed that we would run out of material in four or five years, hemostasis being such a focused discipline. I was wrong! Our efforts have grown year by year, and in 2017 we have more interaction than ever, reflecting the growth and changes in our field,” explains Fritsma.

“Supporting our customers and offering educational opportunities for the healthcare professionals of today and tomorrow is very important to us,” says Paul Empey, President & CEO of Precision BioLogic. “George and the Fritsma Factor have played a key role in our efforts to inform not just our customers but the hemostasis professional community around the globe. I encourage you to visit the Fritsma Factor and join the discussion.”
