April 17, 2020

Today is World Hemophilia Day—an international awareness day for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. It’s held each year on April 17, date of the birthday of Frank Schnabel, founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).

This day also helps illustrate other WFH initiatives to support the bleeding disorders community. The WFH Humanitarian Aid Program provides a range of integrated care development training programs to ensure the local infrastructure and medical expertise are available to optimize and appropriately use donated products. The Global Alliance for Progress (GAP) Program was developed to greatly increase the diagnosis and treatment of people with bleeding disorders by closing the gap in treatment of people with bleeding disorders by closing the gap in treatment between developed and developing countries.

Precision BioLogic is very proud to support WFH and World Hemophilia Day again this year. In recognition, we’re wearing red today and we encourage everyone to “Get+involved” and learn more about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders by visiting wfh.org.
